Polyimide Masking Tape, also known as Kapton (Registered Trademark of Dupont) is manufactured with a pre cured pressure sensitive silicone adhesive.
Application
Polyimide Masking Tape will perform at extreme temperatures and the adhesive will thermo set to increase adhesion values.
Polyimide Masking Tape will withstand temperatures in excess of 300 deg C for short periods and is resistant to a variety of chemicals and solvents which are generally used in Anodising, Electro Plating and for masking gold fingers on circuit boards, wave soldering or hot air leveling
Polyimide masking tape has a high dielectric and insulation resistance.
Polyimide masking tape is commonly used for masking products in the automotive and aerospace industries and is excellent for masking printed circuit boards for conformal coating or wave soldering.
Polyimide masking tape is available in a wide variety of sizes from 5 mm up to 150 mm in 1 mm increments.
